The revolutionary design delivers distances that push the boundaries of R&A and USGA performance limitations by the adoption of plasma welding a thin, hot, ES230 maraging steel face with a 431 stainless steel body, a process first used in Mizuno’s MP Fli-Hi utility iron.

The MX-1000 iron from Mizuno features the companies Hot Metal technology, originally designed for their wood and hybrid ranges but now extended into iron design with the arrival of the MX-1000.

Mizuno also say that the weighting promotes a high ball flight which has allowed them to introduce stronger lofts throughout the set to provide each MX-1000 with greater carry of around 7 yards over the MX-950 iron it replaces. Combined with a lightweight D0 swing weight and the True Temper GS95 steel shaft, the Mizuno MX-1000 is a club for those needing some extra power for their irons.
