The TaylorMade r7 CGB Max Rescue Hybrid club features a triangular-shaped club head that allows for an extremely low and deep-back centre of gravity location that makes it incredibly easy to launch the ball high and long, and which helps to boost the club head's MOI and stability on off-centre hits. SuperFast technology, consisting of a lightweight grip and ultra-light RE*AX SuperFast 55-gram graphite shaft by Fujikura, promotes faster swing speed for increased distance. Distance is also enhanced by the shallow clubface construction, which promotes increased spin to keep the ball in the air longer.

The TaylorMade CGB Max hybrid is out there in looks and as much as I tied to like it, I could never bring myself to part with any money to buy the club. The red/black colour scheme just does not work and the head shape is so off-putting that you forget to keep your eye on the ball as your eyes try to hide from the club. The flight again is more up than out, but if looks don't bother you and you struggle to get the ball up in the air this club may be for you, but there are better clubs out there that can do the same thing as well.

The r7 CGB Max family from TaylorMade is completed with the release of the r7 CGB Max Rescue. Like the driver and fairway woods in the lineup, the r7 CGB Max Rescue hybrid uses a triangular clubhead design, through which TaylorMade pulls the center of gravity back from the clubface. The MOI is boosted for more forgiveness, and higher launch characteristics are achieved.
