The Titleist 909 F3 fairway wood has the modern looks that have already proved popular on tour and which help force the centre of gravity deeper into the club to enhance stability on every shot. The clubface is deeper and smaller than the 909 F2 range which allows better players to enjoy huge control over their shots and the stronger lofts mean the ball flight is much flatter. The Titleist 909 F3 fairway woods promote enhanced ball speed while the sole of the club helps minimise resistance and reduces any bounce on impact.

The Titleist F3 fairway is a very good looking club, as Titleist clubs always are. Compared to previous models the heads seem a little larger for a little more extra forgiveness. The Titleist F3 has a slightly shallower head design than the F2 fairway and as a result it is a little harder to get up in the air than its stablemate. This is because the launch angle of the F3 is lower and the club is shorter than the F2. It is a good solid performer but for us it just lacked that little extra zing feeling to separate it out from the pack. Titleist diehards will like these fairways, but for the same money you can get a Cobra S9-1 Pro, which has a smaller head, but a much better feel and we would prefer to take the risk with the forgiveness for better feel.
